Children's Centres in Bexley
Status | CLOSED |
Start date | Mon 10 May 2021, 9:00am |
End date | Sun 11 Jul 2021, 11:59pm |
The next stage of consultation into the future of Bexley’s Children’s Centres starts from 10 May.
The new proposed model would see a dedicated in-house Children’s Centre team who will provide targeted support to children and their families, running sessions in the Children Centres and other venues across the Borough.
This team would be in addition to the existing services already provided by Health Visitors and Midwives. The Children’s Centre team will sit beside the existing Family Wellbeing Service.
The proposals would see more services run from Children’s Centre buildings as well as from venues across the Borough, including, libraries, leisure centres and community buildings. This will give families more choice and allow them to be able to access services nearer to their homes. If the proposal is agreed the number of venues offering Children’s Centre services across the borough will rise from 20 to 29.
