Local people are asked to share their views on Bexley’s five-year strategy to reduce domestic abuse and its harmful impact on victims, their families and the wider community.

The Council is running a public consultation for people to share their views from Monday 19 April until Friday 25 June.

The strategy focuses on five strategic aims: Prevention, Partnership, Provision, Protection and Progression.

The new strategy has been developed in partnership with a wide range of statutory, voluntary and community organisations across Bexley, including an engagement exercise with domestic abuse survivors, service users and professionals.

The Council has looked to national guidelines and policies, the Mayor of London's Violence Against Women and Girls Strategy and the Bexley Community Safety Partnership Joint Strategic Assessment, to help shape the strategy.

The Cabinet Member for Communities, Cllr Alex Sawyer and Deborah Simpson, Bexley's Domestic Abuse & Sexual Violence Strategy Manager & Commissioner will be holding a webinar on 13 May 2021 at 2pm where you will be able to ask questions on the DA strategy.

If you would like to attend, no booking is required, just join on the link below at 2pm on 13 May 2021.
