The reign of George III lasted sixty years from 1760 to 1820 and saw astonishing economic and social progress along with unprecedented political turmoil and warfare. The people of Bexley played their part in these dramatic events and saw their area transformed by them.

Oliver Wooller has worked as an Archivist for the London Borough of Bexley for 28 years and has written two books on the history of the area.

To book tickets, email archives.els@bexley.gov.uk or visit the centre (open 9:30am to 5:30pm, Monday to Thursday) for more information or to book your place.
