The Great British Spring Clean 2025 is run by Keep Britain Tidy and takes place from 21 March to 6 April. The theme this year is that the environment belongs to everyone.
Millions of volunteer litter heroes will be joining forces across the UK and pledging to help keep their communities clean.
We’ll be joining in with the Great British Spring Clean and you can too. We’re running a number of community litter picks and school litter picks across the Borough where everyone can come together and take pride in some Bexley’s most popular green spaces.
Litter Picking Events
- Monday 31 March 2025
- 10am to 11am at Franks Park, Parkside Rd, Belvedere
- 1pm to 2pm at Whitehall Open Space, Whitehall Lane, Erith
- Tuesday 1 April 2025
- 10am to 11am at East Wickham Open Space SE2 0NS (by the Flagpole)
- 1pm to 2pm at Danson Park, Danson Stables pub car park by children’s play park
- Wednesday 2 April 2025
- 10am to 11am at Foots Cray Meadows meet at the Stable Block Car Park
Find out more about the locations and meeting points and pre-register for a litter pick (so that we have an idea of numbers) on the Eventbrite website. Alternatively just turn up on the day.
If you want to bring your own gloves and equipment that is fine, but the Council will supply you with high visibility vests, gloves, bag loops, blue bags, and litter picker sticks on the day.
