The Court Order forbids Malcolm Mattin from contacting several named shops and individuals in the borough.
Malcolm Mattin, currently of no fixed abode, has been found guilty of contempt of court at Bromley County Court.
Malcolm Mattin admitted to breaching an Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) Injunction (presented to the Court by the London Borough of Bexley) at the two-day Hearing on Wednesday 31 January.
Mr Mattin had initially denied all the allegations at an earlier hearing and has been subject to the ASB Injunction since 2018 for numerous incidents.
Mr Mattin was sentenced to 28 days imprisonment, which was suspended for 12 months until 31 January 2025. The Judge also extended the Injunction and power of arrest to expire the same time. This is the third time the Injunction and power of arrest had been extended (and varied).
Prior to the Injunction, Malcolm Mattin had been subject to a Community Protection Notice. Despite attempts to engage Malcolm Mattin with support, his anti-social behaviour continued towards females, as well as staff and customers in businesses on Sidcup High Street.
The Court extended and varied an injunction against Malcolm Mattin, forbidding him from contacting several named shops and individuals in the borough. It also forbids Malcolm Mattin:
- from entering, seeking to enter or loiter outside any business or private address from which he has been barred or banned within London Borough of Bexley
- from behaving, or threatening to behave, in a manner that does, or is likely to cause harassment alarm or distress to any person and
- being in a public place intoxicated with alcohol.
