Emergency works on Thames Road

Road work signage

UK Power Networks (UKPN) are carrying out emergency works on a faulty electricity cable at Thames Road under the railway bridge between Crayford Way and Bob Dunn Way.

UKPN need to proceed with care as the faulty cable is an extra high voltage 33KV circuit that supplies electricity to a large area around the Borough.

The repair work is expected to take three weeks to complete.  Two-way traffic lights are in place and are being manually controlled. This is causing delays.

UK Power Networks apologise for the inconvenience caused.

Requests for further information and complaints should be emailed to UKPN Customer Services or call 0800 3163105
