Extraordinary people who have opened their hearts and homes to children of Bexley were honoured at the annual ‘Foster Carers Red Carpet Appreciation Event’ on 21 June. The event brought together foster carers, community leaders and social workers for an unforgettable evening of recognition and celebration.
Hosted by the London Borough of Bexley's fostering team, the event sought to highlight foster carers selflessness and persistent commitment to providing a secure and caring home for the children and young people. It was a heartfelt tribute to their invaluable contributions to the community.
Foster caregivers arrived to a red carpet, where they and their families were welcomed with praise. It was an evening of entertainment, speeches and special awards for foster carers completing five, ten and 25 years of service with Bexley, and for completing the Training, Support and Development Standards.
