A pair of swans have nested in Danson Park close to one of the fishing swims and the south park lakeside path.

Swans can by nature be very territorial and aggressive when they are close to their nest.

Park users are asked to please keep dogs on lead in this area and to keep away from the swans.

Please do not attempt to feed them or any other birds within or close to the nest area.

We are arranging temporary fencing for the duration of the breeding season which will be at least to the end of June.

The area designated for anglers, the fishing swim, is currently closed in line with the fishing season that runs from 15 March to 15 June.
