The London Borough of Bexley has announced its new Director of Finance and Corporate Services (S151 Officer).
Ross Brown will take on the role in February 2025, with responsibility for Finance, Legal, Property, Digital, HR and Customer Services.
He joins Bexley from Nottingham City Council, where he has been Corporate Director of Finance and Resources (S151 Officer) since January 2023.
Ross is passionate about local government and delivering positive outcomes for residents. He has worked for more than 20 years in the public sector.
After graduating from Hull University with a degree in Accounting, Ross began his career at the City of York Council as a Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) Trainee. He spent over 12 years at the Council.
Much of his work subsequently has been at the London Borough of Ealing, where his most recent role was Chief Finance Officer (S151 Officer).
