Temporary Restriction of Vehicular Traffic Order 2024

Longlands Park Crescent, Sidcup - Notice of Intention

  1. The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that, to enable the laying of a new service supply by Southern Gas Networks they intend to make an Order the effects of which will be the introduction of:
    • Prohibition of traffic from outside 65 to 67b Longlands Park Crescent, Sidcup
  2. The Order will come into effect on 24 June 2024 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 10 days.
  3. Whilst the works are in progress alternative route will be via
    • Parkhill Road – Longlands Road – Longlands Park Crescent and reverse
  4. Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or traffic warden, to emergency service vehicles, or to vehicles being used in connection with the works.

  1. The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that, to enable a mains relay in the carriageway by Morrisons Water Services on behalf of Thames Water they intend to make an Order the effects of which will be the introduction of:
    • Prohibition of traffic (road closure) for the entire length of Ripley Road, Belvedere
  2. The Order will come into effect on 24 June 2024  and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 92 Days
  3. Whilst the works are in progress alternative routes will be via,

The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that, to enable the installation of a mains pipe in the carriageway by Morrisons Water Services on behalf of Thames Water they intend to make an Order the effects of which will be the introduction of:

    • Prohibition of traffic 9:45 am and 1pm by the Metropolitan Police Service of the following

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Bexley propose to make the above mentioned Traffic Orders under sections 6, and 124 of and Part IV of schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by Section 8 of and Part 1 of Schedule 5 to the Local Government Act 1985 and all other enabling powers.

  1. The general effect of the Bexley (Yarnton Way Restricted Parking Zone) Traffic Order 2024 would be to:
    1.  Introduce a Restricted Parking Zone on the western end of Yarnton Way
      The Restricted Parking Zone allows road markings to be dispensed with other than marked bays with signs that detail who can park and when they can park. This zone will have no waiting at any time, no loading at any time. There existing loading bay on the north side of Yarnton Way near Tavy Bridge will remain at its existing operating hours of Monday to Saturday 8.30am-6.30pm. 
  2. The general effect of the Bexley (Waiting and Loading) (Amendment No. XX) Traffic Order 2024 would be to:
    1. make changes to the at any time waiting restrictions  so that they can be included in the new Yarnton Way 
    2. Add no waiting at any time restrictions to the central island of Yarnton Way from the end of the RPZ to its junction with Hartslock Drive
  3. The general effect of the Bexley (Harrow Manorway 20 mph and 40mph Speed Limit) (Amendment 1) Traffic Order 2024 would be to:
    1. make changes to add a length of 20mph restriction to Yarnton Way. 
  4. Copies of the proposed Orders, the corresponding Parent Orders (and any Orders that have amended those Orders), the Council’s statement of reasons for proposing to make the Orders, and a plan which indicates the length of road to which the Orders relate, can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, at the Contact Centre, Civic Offices, 2 Watling Street, Bexleyheath, Kent DA6 7A.

  1. The general effect of the Bexley (Disabled Persons Parking Places) (Amendment No. XX) Traffic Order 2024 would be to:
    1. amend the position of the disabled bays in Walnut Tree Road, moving them from the east side to the west side of the road
  2. The general effect of the Bexley (Erith High Street 20 mph Speed Limit) (Amendment XX) Traffic Order 2024 would be to:

    1. amend the position and number of existing shared resident/paid for parking places and EV charging bays on Walnut Tree Road between its junction with Bexley Road and Erith High Street

      NOTE. The above Traffic Management Orders are proposed to manage parking demands and traffic movement adjacent to revised public realm arrangements at this area. This notice is published in conjunction with a notice proposing  a new raised feature as part of the overall scheme

  1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Bexley propose to make the above titled Traffic Order under Sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended as amended by Section 8 of and Part 1 of Schedule 5 to the Local Government Act 1985.
  2. The general effect of the above-mentioned Amendment Order would be to amend the Bexley (Welling Station) (Parking Places) Traffic Order 2018: -
    1. Remove a 4.1m section of the existing Resident Permit Parking Bay in front of No. 8 Marne Avenue Sidcup.
    2. The removed part of the bay will be replaced with a single yellow line restriction of ’1pm and 3pm Monday to Friday’.
  3. Highways Act 1980 – Section 90a Raised Features

Notice is hereby given that the London Borough of Bexley proposes to install a full width raised feature to Walnut Tree Road from a point approximately in line with the northern flank wall of the Town Hall to a point approximately 13 metres north of the northern flank wall of the Library. 

Note: this notice is published in conjunction with a second notice detailing proposed changes to shared resident permit/paid for parking places, EV charging bay, speed limit and disabled persons parking places.
A plan showing the location of the above proposed raised feature can be viewed during normal office hours, Monday to Friday inclusive at the Contact Centre, Civic Offices, 2 Watling Street, Bexleyheath, Kent DA6 7AT.

Notification of an Application for Planning Permission within the Old Bexley (1987) Conservation Area

Proposed development at Car Park Thanet Road Bexley
I give notice that application is being made by APCOA Parking (UK) Ltd to the London Borough of Bexley Council for planning permission for:

  • Installation of YEEP Parcel Lockers and security bollards at northern boundary of car park.

Members of the public can view the application, and submit any observations on the proposal, using the Planning Application Information Online system on the Council’s website using the Planning Application Information Online system.
