List of Assets of Community Value (Community Right to Bid) - Community Notice

Pantiles Methodist Church, Hurlingham Road, Bexleyheath, Kent, DA7 5PF

Notice is hereby given that the owner of the above property has notified the London Borough of Bexley that it intends to dispose of the freehold interest in the property with vacant possession. The property was added to the Borough’s list of Assets of Community Value in May 2023. 

An interim moratorium period has now been triggered, during which eligible community interest groups must notify the Council if they wish to be treated as a potential bidder for the asset.  The Council must receive this notification by 2nd December 2024.  A request to be treated as a potential bidder form is available on the Nominate an asset page.

An eligible community interest group must have a local connection with the property and fall within one or more of the following categories (a) a charity (b) a community interest company (c) a company limited by guarantee that is non-profit distributing or (d) an industrial and provident society that is non-profit distributing.

The owner of the asset may not dispose of the asset during the interim moratorium period.  If no community interest group requests to be treated as a potential bidder during the interim moratorium period the full moratorium period is not triggered and the owner may proceed to dispose of the asset.

Various roads, Abbey Wood - Notice of Making an Order

  1. The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that an order has been made, to enable Gas mains replacement, the effects of which will be the introduction of:
    • Prohibition of traffic (road closure) in Glenview, Abbey Wood for 30 meters up to and including the junction with West Heath Road as and when works require.
    • Prohibition of traffic (road closure) in Amberley Road for 30 meters up to and including the junction with West Heath Road, Abbey Wood as and when works require.
    • Prohibition of traffic (road closure) in Burcharbro Road for 30 meters up to and including the junction with West Heath Road, Abbey Wood as and when works require.
    • No waiting no loading (parking restrictions) as detailed in schedule one of this order.
    • Restrictions to be removed when not required.
  2. The Order will come into effect on 2 December 2024 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 4 weeks.
  3. Whilst the works are in progress alternative routes will be provided via, 
    • Glenview  closure   -West Heath Road – Woolwich Road – Bedonwell Road – Glenview and reverse
    • Amberley Road closure -  West heath Road – Woolwich Road – Bedonwell Road – Glenview – Amberley Road and reverse
    • Burcharbro Road closure - Pinewood Road – West Heath Road and reverse
  4. Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or traffic warden, to emergency service vehicles, or to vehicles being used in connection with the works.
  5. The restrictions described above will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs as prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

  1. The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that an order has been made, to enable JDT Utilities Ltd on behalf of Southern Gas Networks to undertake their Gas Mains Replacement works, the effects of which will be the introduction of: 
    • Prohibition of traffic West Heath Road, Abbey Wood
    • Prohibition of traffic Pinewood Road, Abbey Wood from the junction with West Heath Road to approx. 30m into the junction
    • Waiting restriction and Loading prohibition:
      • West Heath Road – entire length (both sides of the carriageway)
      • Pinewood Road – from the junction with West Heath Road to approx. 30m into the junction (both sides of the carriageway) Restriction to be removed when not required.
  2. The Order will come into effect on 28 November 2024and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 8 weeks.
  3. Whilst the works are in progress alternative routes will be provided via:
    • West Heath Road Diversion
    • Brampton Road, Woolwich Road, Bedonwell Road, Glenview and reverse
    • Brampton Road, King Harolds Way, Leckwith Avenue, Glenview, and reverse
    • Pinewood Road Diversion
    • Burcharbro Road, West Heath Road and reverse
  4. Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or traffic warden, to emergency service vehicles, or to vehicles being used in connection with the works.
  5. The restrictions described above will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs as prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

  1. I give notice that application is being made by Mr J Addison to the London Borough of Bexley Council for planning permission for:-

The Bexley (Disabled Persons Parking Places)/(Bexley Station)(Parking Places) (Amendment No. XX) Traffic Order 2024

  1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Bexley propose to make the above titled Traffic Orders under Sections 6, 45, 46, 49  and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended as amended by Section 8 of and Part 1 of Schedule 5 to the Local Government Act 1985 and all other enabling powers.
  2. The general effects of the  Bexley (Disabled Persons Parking Places) Traffic Order 2024 amendment order would be to: -
    1. designate new disabled parking places in which disabled person’s vehicles, displaying a disabled person’s blue badge may be left during the permitted hours, without charge, in the vicinity of: - 76 Albert Road Bexley, 8 Bedford Road Sidcup, 8 Glendale Road Belvedere, 35 Hazel Drive Erith, 144 Hurstwood Avenue Erith, 142 Old Road Crayford, 11 Poplar Mount Belvedere, 9a Welling Way Welling and 35 Westerham Drive Blackfen
  3. The general effects of The Bexley (Bexley Station)(Parking Places) Traffic Order 2024 amendment order would be to: -
    1. convert a section of the existing ‘residents permit parking place’ in Albert Road Bexley to a Disabled Persons Parking Bay operating ‘at all times’
  4. Copies of the proposed Orders, the corresponding Parent Orders (and the Orders that have amended those Orders); the Council’s Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the Orders and plans which indicate the length of roads to which the Orders relate can be inspected during
