Localism Act 2011: List of Assets of Community Value (Community Right to Bid) - Community Notice

Pantiles Methodist Church, Hurlingham Road, Bexleyheath, Kent, DA7 5PF

Notice is hereby given that the owner of the above property has notified the London Borough of Bexley that it intends to dispose of the freehold interest in the property with vacant possession. The property was added to the Borough’s list of Assets of Community Value in May 2023.

An interim moratorium period has now been triggered, during which eligible community interest groups must notify the Council if they wish to be treated as a potential bidder for the asset. The Council must receive this notification by 2 December 2024.  A request to be treated as a potential bidder form is available on the Nominate an asset page.

An eligible community interest group must have a local connection with the property and fall within one or more of the following categories (a) a charity (b) a community interest company (c) a company limited by guarantee that is non-profit distributing or (d) an industrial and provident society that is non-profit distributing.

The owner of the asset may not dispose of the asset during the interim moratorium period.  If no community interest group requests to be treated as a potential bidder during the interim moratorium period the full moratorium period is not triggered and the owner may proceed to dispose of the asset.

I give notice that application is being made by Mr J Addison to the London Borough of Bexley Council for planning permission for:

Temporary Restriction of Vehicular Traffic Order 2024

Berkeley Avenue and Mayfair Avenue, Bexleyheath - Notice of Making an Order

  1. The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Hereby Give Notice that an order has been made, to enable JDT Utilities on behalf of Southern Gas Networks to carry out their Gas Mains Replacement works, the effects of which will be the introduction of:
    • prohibition of traffic on Preston Drive, Bexleyheath
    • waiting restriction and Loading prohibition entire length of the road, both sides of the carriageway
    • restrictions will be removed when not required
  2. The Order will come into effect on 28 November 2024 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 7 weeks.
    Whilst the works are in progress alternative routes will be provided via:
    • Normanhurst Avenue, Berkeley Avenue, Brampton Road, and reverse
    • Brampton Road, Okehampton Crescent, Gipsy Road, Normanhurst Avenue, and reverse
  3. Nothing in this notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or traffic warden, to emergency service vehicles, or to vehicles being used in connection with the works.
  4. The restrictions described above will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs as prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
