Paying the charge online

Service status

We are aware that an issue with our telephone PCN payment service continues to affect some transactions. We recommend making payment through our online PCN payment portal at this time. 

We are working with our partners to resolve the issue and apologise for any inconvenience.

Pay Penalty Charge Notice (PCN)

If you can't pay online you can choose another method below

Whatever you choose, we'll need the PCN reference shown on the notice, XL followed by 8 characters so have it to hand when you're ready to pay.

  • to pay over the phone, call 0330 088 3736
  • to pay by post, first write the PCN reference and your name, address and phone number on the back of your cheque or postal order. Then send it to:

If you want to challenge your PCN

If you have lost the PCN

  • complete the parking enquiry form providing your vehicle registration and date of the contravention (if known) and we'll respond with the PCN number to allow you to pay it online, or
  • telephone the customer contact centre on 020 8303 7777 between 8am and 5pm, Monday to Friday
