A focus on Bexley Village

Bexley Village is home to a variety of independent shops and locally run businesses. It’s a great place for a relaxed stroll, taking in the friendly atmosphere and historic charm.

With a number of pubs and restaurants it is also the ideal place to meet up with friends and socialise for either a quick lunch or a relaxed evening meal.

Just a short walk away, Hall Place is a must-visit. Built in 1537, this Grade I listed country house is a rare example of Tudor architecture. Many of its original features remain, including the striking checkerboard stonework, the redbrick courtyard, and the spectacular plaster ceiling in the Great Chamber. The surrounding gardens are free to visit, making it a great spot for a peaceful walk.

From exploring the village and enjoying a meal to discovering the history of Hall Place, Bexley Village offers a great mix of local shops and hospitality.

Hold on to your mobile

Mobile phone theft is a common crime in the UK, but there are steps you can take to protect yourself and your device.

Tips on how to keep your phone safe:

  • avoid using your phone in public places. If you must use it, be aware of who is around you
  • avoid using your phone while walking, especially in crowded areas. This makes you an easy target for thieves
  • be especially careful in busy areas like train stations, shopping centres and pubs. These are places where thieves often operate
  • use a strong PIN or passcode to lock your phone. This will make it more difficult for thieves to access your data if they steal your phone
  • enable biometric authentication if your phone has it. This will allow you to unlock your phone with your finger or thumb print or face recognition, making it more secure
  • install a tracking app on your phone. This will allow you to locate your phone if it is lost or stolen
  • back up your data regularly. This will make sure that you don’t lose important information if your phone is stolen
