The number of complaints has increased slightly in 2022/23. We received 73 Stage 1 complaints this year, 18% more than last year. The proportion of complaints that were escalated from Stage 1 to Stage 2 was 19% which was a drop from the year before where 27% of complaints were escalated to Stage 2. No complaints were escalated to Stage 3 of the statutory complaints process which has not happened in the previous three years.
Only three complaints were investigated by the Ombudsman, which is consistent with previous years and means that we were able to resolve more than 97% of all complaints locally in 2022/23.
