Broadway’s year of spectacular events

This year, Bexleyheath Broadway has been buzzing with excitement, hosting 22 unforgettable events that brought our community together for fun-filled experiences, significantly boosting footfall in the heart of our town.

Among the standout moments was the relaunch of our popular Summer Night Markets, where locals gathered under twinkling lights to enjoy live music and a vibrant array of food stalls. These monthly evenings have quickly become a much-anticipated staple, creating a lively atmosphere everyone can enjoy.

From the high-energy Uniformed Services Day and the impressive Truck Pull to the awe-inspiring Dinosaurs and the crowd-favourite Titan the Robot, each event has brought something unique and exciting to the Broadway in Bexleyheath. These special occasions have consistently transformed the area into a bustling hub, drawing large crowds and creating an unforgettable community spirit.

As we head toward the festive season, the excitement is far from over. We are thrilled to announce the launch of our six-week Christmas market, starting from 16 November, alongside our highly anticipated annual Christmas Light Switch-On. This year’s market promises a traditional festive atmosphere, with holiday-themed stalls offering delicious treats, unique gifts and seasonal delights.

One of the main attractions will be a Ferris wheel, which will offer visitors a bird’s-eye view of the dazzling Christmas lights and decorations. The festivities will kick off with the Christmas Light Switch-On event, which will feature live performances and lead up to the magical moment when the town’s Christmas lights are illuminated at 4.45pm, officially ushering in the holiday season.

Cabinet Member for Place Making, Cllr Cafer Munur said:

We can’t wait to welcome you to our Christmas market and events, where there’s truly something for everyone to enjoy. Be sure to mark your calendars and join us in making this holiday season one to remember."
