Elena, a bright and ambitious woman, joined our employability Work and Health programme in November 2023 with the aim of finding a fulfilling and sustainable job. She had recently left her previous job due to health-related challenges, but her determination to work remained strong. She had been attending job interviews but with no success, which started affecting her confidence. However, with the support of our programme and her dedicated advisor, Elena was able to overcome her challenges and secure a job, 4 months later in March 2024 as a Wellbeing Coach for young people in her local community.

Before joining our employability programme, Elena had been facing health-related challenges that forced her to leave her job. Despite this, she was eager to get back into the workforce and contribute to society. She had attended several job interviews, but the rejections had started to take a toll on her confidence and self-esteem. This is when she came to us for support and guidance in finding a suitable job.

Elena's advisor immediately recognised her potential and passion for working with people and supporting her community. They developed a tailored action plan, taking into consideration her health needs, to help her achieve her job goal. They also focused on building her confidence and addressing her interview skills. Together, they started the process of applying for jobs that aligned with Elena’s aspirations.

As Elena went through different job interviews, her advisor would support her by conducting mock interviews and providing valuable feedback and suggestions for improvement. This continuous practice helped Elena become more confident, and eventually, she secured a job as a Wellbeing Coach in March 2024.

Elena has been successfully working as a Wellbeing Coach for young people, supporting them on their progression journey. Her advisor also supported her during the transition to her new job and continues to offer ongoing in-work support. This includes checking in to address any health needs and ensure Elena is settling well into her job.

Through our employability programme, Elena was able to overcome her challenges and secure a job that not only aligns with her passion but also contributes to her local community. Her journey is a testament to the success of our programme and the impact it has on individuals' lives. We continue to support and empower individuals like Elena, helping them achieve their job goals and build a brighter future.
