Think Local First

Bexley’s award-winning Think Local First campaign encourages and provides the necessary tools for Council Officers to consider local companies when engaging in lower value procurements. Indeed Council procurement rules have been recently amended to mandate the seeking of at least one quotation from a local company (where possible) for requirements up to a value of £50,000.

Obviously, this consideration of local businesses in no way overshadows the need to seek value for money but it does support the concept of ‘give local a go!’
